Step 1: Old Model

Find the NORMAL - SERVICE switch (shaped like a vertical switch, located on the back of the main-pcb close to the TUNER).
To enter service mode: move the switch to the SERVICE position.

Power on the TV.

Short circuit (short-kan) JA137 and JA138 for about 1 second, then release.
Navigation: Use Ch and Vol keys.
To exit: Turn off the TV.

Replace new memory IC (empty):

Power off.
Continuously short JA137 and JA138.
Turn on the TV.
Wait about 30 seconds for the automatic default data to be written to memory.

Step 3

Main-switch off or unplug the power cord.
Press and hold Vol-down and Ch-up on the front panel simultaneously.
Turn on the TV.
Navigation: Use Ch and Vol on the remote.
To exit: Turn off the main-switch (data is stored automatically).

Step 4: Slim (with UOC box)

Power on.
Ensure image adjustment is in NORMAL position.
Short circuit pin-5 Mikrokontrol to ground for about 1 second (or JA483 to JA484).
Press MENU to select the mode (Adjust Mode, check mode, Option mode, etc.).
Navigation: Use Ch and Vol.
Wait about 4 seconds before moving to another adjustment so data is stored automatically.

Replace new memory (empty):

Power off.
Continuously short pin-5 Mikrokontrol to ground (or JA483 to JA484).
Turn on the TV.
Wait about 30 seconds for automatic default data writing.
Note: If default data fails, check ABL (brightness too bright or ABL problem).

Step 5

Press the MENU button on the remote.
Then press the number 4-7-2-5.
Navigation: Use Ch and Vol.
To exit: Turn off the TV.
